On Friday, April 25, 2025, the Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation was on the ground at CASS (The Social and Health Animation Center) Nkolndongo, Yaoundé, leading a powerful community health outreach in commemoration of World Malaria Day (April 25). The outreach aimed at educating, engaging, and empowering the community in the fight against malaria, a preventable yet deadly disease that continues to threaten lives in Cameroon.
A key highlight was the compelling and interactive talk on malaria prevention, symptoms, and treatment, presented by Dr. Jessy Goupeyou, Health Policy Analyst at the Nkafu Policy Institute. She demystified myths about malaria transmission, highlighted the role of women in the fight against malaria, demonstrated proper use of mosquito nets and repellents, and encouraged early testing and treatment to save lives.

Dr. Constantine Asahngwa Hands Malaria Test Kits to Director of CASS
Dr. Constantine Asahngwa, Deputy Director of Health Policy and Research at the Nkafu Policy Institute presented some malaria test kits to the management of CASS Nkolndongo. This gesture was more than symbolic; it was a tangible step toward saving lives and reinforcing our partnership with local health providers.
Malaria remains a public health crisis, but through education, advocacy, and collective action, we are proving that change is possible. The Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation is proud to stand with the CASS Nkolndongo community, turning knowledge into power and compassion into action.
Together, we can end malaria, one community at a time.
