On November 28, 2025, the Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation continued the longstanding commitment to community empowerment through our monthly Community Day outreach, this time hosted at the St. Louis University Institute in Yaoundé. The event focused on an engaging and highly educational session on Breast and Prostate Cancer Awareness, two pressing health concerns that continue to affect thousands of families across Cameroon.

A major highlight was an insightful health talk delivered by Dr. Stéphanie Eyombo, Medical Doctor at Medicalia Health Center. She shed light on the symptoms, risk factors, preventive measures, and the importance of early screening for both breast and prostate cancer. Her presentation provided clarity and deepened the understanding of these life-threatening but preventable diseases.

Speaking for the Foundation, Mr. Guy Jengu, delivered brief remarks underscoring our ongoing mission to promote healthier, informed, and resilient communities. He highlighted the objectives of the Community Day initiative, creating awareness and strengthening the culture of preventive healthcare. A representative of St. Louis University Institute expressed appreciation for the Foundation’s commitment to youth and community well-being, reaffirming the importance of partnerships that place people and public health at the center of development.

Through this Community Day activity, the Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation reiterates the belief that awareness, access to information, and collective action are vital pillars of a thriving society. By empowering young people with the right knowledge, we move closer to a future where preventable diseases are addressed early, and communities live healthier, stronger lives.
