On March 28, 2025, the Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation demonstrated its ongoing commitment to community service with a meaningful visit to Orphanage Saint Rita of Cascia in Mendong, Yaounde. This initiative brought together foundation staff for a day dedicated to service and connection with the children.
The day began with foundation staff arriving at the orphanage in Mendong. Teams were quickly organized to address essential needs, with members focusing on laundry, kitchen duties, and general cleaning. As staff members worked alongside orphanage caretakers, meaningful connections naturally formed. The simple act of sharing tasks created opportunities for conversation and understanding that transcended the physical work being done. These interactions highlighted the true purpose of the Community Day initiative – building relationships that strengthen our shared community fabric.
The day’s activities culminated with the handing of gifts to the orphanage. The Foundation’s visit to Orphanage Saint Rita of Cascia represents just one aspect of our broader commitment to community development. By engaging directly with various community institutions, we aim to create sustainable impact that extends beyond single-day events. These experiences inform our approach to economic and social development, ensuring our initiatives remain grounded in real community needs.
