Experts predict huge benefits for Cameroon after joining free trade zone

Since the free trade zone went operational, debate has been rife on how this initiative will benefit Africa as a whole especially countries on the continent that are less resilient. Switzerland Says It Is Mediating Talks as Cameroon’s Separatist Crisis Deepens

YAOUNDE - Switzerland has officially said it is helping the government of Cameroon negotiate with rebels to end the separatist crisis that has killed more than 2,000 people in Cameroon. The Swiss ambassador to Cameroon, Pietro Lazzeri, spoke in Yaounde about attempting reconciliation after more than 20 people were killed within two days of fighting in the crisis-stricken regions. Cardinal Tumi receives Nelson Mandela Award

Archbishop Emeritus of Douala, Christian Cardinal Tumi has been awarded this year’s edition of the Nelson Mandela Memorial prize for his role in promoting peace and human rights in Cameroon.
