Jean Blaise Nkonga
Jean Blaise Nkonga is the Interim Chief Operating Officer of the Denis & Lonera Foretia Foundation.
Prior to joining the Foundation, he was the Delegated Project Coordinator for Groupe SOS – GINKGO for the Social Innovation and Decentralization Project in Cameroon, funded by AIMF (Association Internationale des Maires Francophones) where he was responsible for field operations. He was equally in charge of setting up and managing the National Network of Cameroonian Mayors for Social and Solidarity Economy.
He has considerable experience in Community Economic Development, Social and Solidarity Economy and in the development of Micro enterprises and Microfinance. He also has a certification from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Financial Development and Financial Inclusion. As President of APTI, a Cameroonian organization that works to reduce poverty, he had to design, implement and manage a micro-credit project for poor rural women in remote areas of Cameroon, as well as design, launch, and manage a Youth Entrepreneurship Development Program.
He holds a Masters of Sciences in International Community Economic Development from the Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester New Hampshire USA, and Graduated from Harvard University in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies.
