Enowbachem Agbortanyi is a human rights, peace and political advocate with extensive experience in peacebuilding, democratic governance, and conflict resolution, particularly within the context of Cameroon. He is a Swedish Institute Alumnus and holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Gothenburg University, Sweden. Professionally, he has contributed to various research and advocacy initiatives, served as a Human Rights and Political Affairs Officer at the Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa (CHRDA), where he had held other previous roles. His work also extends to coordinating peace and democracy-focused projects with Ethical and Sustainable Future for All (ESFA).
With prior research roles at the Varieties of Democracy Institute (V-Dem Institute) and the Governance and Local Development Institute (GLD) in Sweden, Enowbachem has honed strong analytical skills in governance, electoral processes, civil liberties, peace and security. His career reflects a commitment to advancing human rights, freedom of expression, and inclusive political participation, backed by impactful publications and international collaborations.
