On Wednesday 25th October 2023, the Research and Action for Peace (RECAP) Network carried out a community dialogue in Bafoussam, West Region of Cameroon centered on the theme, «Documenting barriers and challenges to peaceful coexistence and social cohesion» for 15 target beneficiaries from the North West Region of Cameroon.

The Community Dialogue which was facilitated by the WANEP Team and the Nkafu Policy Institute aimed to bring community stakeholders from Wum community to identify and discuss challenges faced by farmers and grazers, analyse conflict origins and deepen understanding of key issues that are likely to disrupt social cohesion and peaceful co-existence in Wum. Participatory approaches were adopted which revealed honest discussions around the historical narrative behind the farmer – grazer conflict and how this is further aggravated by the prevailing Anglophone conflict.
