SUMMARY:Training Of Business Owners On Business Model\, Cash Flow and Business Plan
DESCRIPTION:Training of entrepreneurs on the Business model\, Cashflow Spread and the Business Plan.   Dates: 30 September 2021\, 28 October 2021 and 30 November 2021 \nTime: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Online \nBackground\nIn Cameroon\, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) generate 35% of GDP and provide about 70% of the country’s jobs.  However\, they continue to suffer from the lack of funding that sharply reduces their contribution to the country’s economic development(Protais Ayangma\, 2020). Among the causes related to the difficult access of Cameroonian SMEs to finance\, we note in particular the fact that they remain trapped in the informal sector (National Institute of Statistics\, 2018). Combined with the fact that they would not have a business plan\, most of these companies although having a bank account cannot obtain credit. However\, after defining its business model and drawing up the cash flow\, it becomes easy for a company to develop a business plan\, which can be seen as a first step towards the formalization process. In order to fill the knowledge gap of entrepreneurs regarding: the business model\, cash flow and business plan\, the Centre for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (SBEC) of the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation offers online training. \nObjective \nThis training therefore aims to strengthen the capacities of entrepreneurs with regard to: the business model\, cash flow and business plan. Specifically it will be:  \nPresent the writing canvas of a business model\, a business plan and a cash flow (spread); \nPresent the techniques for implementing a business plan;  \nDiscuss strategies to formalize an economic activity at a lower cost or without fees   \nTarget Audience and Training Participation Fees \nThis training is free and reserved for members of the SBEC network who took part in the first session held on September 3\, 2021 at the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation on the theme: “Business Model”. \nTrainer \nDr Ahanda Sosthène Nicaise\, Director of the Centre for Small Business and Entrepreneurship of the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation (SBEC); Contact: sahanda@foretiafoundation.org; Phone: +237 699 96 55 75  \nContact \nEmail?:info@foretiafoundation.org?; Tel : (+237) 22 31 15 84 / 654 86 72 54/ 698 64 55 24.

Cameroonian SMEs\, which generate 35% of GDP and provide 70% of the country’s jobs\, regularly encounter financing problems\, large unpaid bills and difficulties in accessing credit in Cameroon (Protais Ayangma\, 2020). This lack of funding is due to the non-formalisation for some and the poor organisation for others.  \nPoor organization\, on the other hand\, comes from the  lack of establishments\, a business model and a business plan. This gap  can be filled by adequate training and support. \nIn order to fill the gap of knowledge in business-model in cashflow spread and business plan\,  The Small Business & Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC)  proposes to train entrepreneurs   on September 03\, 2021 on The Business Model\, Cash Flow and Business Plan.\nObjective \nThis training aims to give entrepreneurs a solid foundation on the business model and the business plan. \nSpecific objectives: \nSpecifically it will be a question of: Understanding the business-model canvas\, the spread cash flow and business plan. \nTarget Hearing:  \n Members of the SBEC network\, female entrepreneurs\, the interested public. \nConditions for participation in training \nParticipation in this training is free for members of the SBEC network. SUMMARY:Effective Digitalization For The Development of Small And Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) In Cameroon
DESCRIPTION:Date & Time: 11th of August\, 2021\, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.\nVenue: Zoom Platform (Register Here) \nBackground  \nIn Cameroon\, about 98% of all businesses are Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). In addition\, 90% of these SMEs are “micro” enterprises (entities with fewer than five employees). Though business growth has been steadily rising over the years\, 50% of new businesses fail within 3 years\, and about 80% die within the first 5 years. SMEs are the primary vehicle for economic outputs\, but they only have a small share of the economy and have a low success rate. Although these SMEs employ above 60% of the population\, 70% of the SMEs still operate informally and lack adequate managerial skills\, proper accounting procedures\, and sound financial planning. The majority of these SMEs do not have access to finance\, lack appropriate skillsets.\nThe challenges faced by SMEs increased with the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic due to the barrier measures put in place. The production rate and the number of customers decreased with a direct impact on profits. GICAM\, in one of its 2021 report\, declared that 92% of companies indicated that the COVID-19 pandemic is having a very negative impact on their activities. Among those\, SMEs (61%) were the most affected.\nIn one of the webinars organized by the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) on the impact of COVID-19 on SMEs\, it became clear that the adaptation of several companies is linked to digitization. In addition\, the online service companies had instead made profits.  Then digitalization is one of the most effective solution to solve these SMEs problems. Therefore\, against this framework\, the Small Business Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) of the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation seeks to organize a webinar on the importance of effective digitalization for SMEs development in Cameroon.\nObjective of the webinar discussion\nThe main objective of this webinar is to discuss how digitalization could permanently take a prominent place in the functioning of SMEs in Cameroon.\nSpecifically; \nTo examine the contribution of digitalization in entrepreneurship.\nExamine the current challenges of digitalization on entrepreneurship in Cameroon.\nCritically assess government measures put in place to promote digitalization in the entrepreneurship sector in Cameroon.\nIdentify and propose possible measures to ameliorate the conditions of digitalization in entrepreneurship in Cameroon. \nTarget audience: \nEntrepreneurs\nExperts in Public Policy and Policymakers\nEconomists and Researchers\nCivil Society Organizations and other interested stakeholders\nMembers of SBEC Network\nGeneral public \n Expected outputs and outcomes\nAt the end of the panel discussion\, the participants will understand; \nThe contribution of digitalization in entrepreneurs;\nThe digitalization in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cameroon\nCurrent challenges faced entrepreneurs and government measures put in place to promote digitalization in entrepreneurship in Cameroon\nThe possible actions needed to improve the use of digitalization in entrepreneurship in Cameroon. \nPanelists and Moderator \nDr Ahanda Sosthène Nicaise   (Moderator)\nMadame Christel Youbi   (President of SENAT JCI Cameroon)\nMr Cyrille Schouamé   (Head of Department of Corporate Culture Dissemination at minpmeesa.)\nAbara Dibaki   (Consultant- Trainer\, Entrepreneur. Promoter of the management and HR consulting firm OpenLab Advisory.)\nOlivier Emega BISSOM   (Technical Director CAFCOOP Company) \nOrganizers\nThis webinar is organized by the Small Business Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) of the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation.\nVenue and Date\nThe webinar is scheduled for the 11th of August\, 2021\, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.\nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Prosperity And Economic Freedom of Women: The Challenges Of Female Entrepreneurship In Cameroon
DESCRIPTION:Prosperity And Economic Freedom of Women: The Challenges Of Female Entrepreneurship In Cameroon \nDate: 26th May 2021  –  Time: 11:00 – 13:00\nVenue: Head Quarters of the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation\,  Yaoundé-Cameroon  (Register Here) \nBackground   \nWomen in Africa make up 58% of the self-employed population and are more likely than men to choose entrepreneurship not because they have a burning passion or the right skills\, but because of a lack of better opportunities. It is a well-known fact that if women participated in the global economy to the same degree as men\, the world economy would gain an additional $11 trillion in annual GDP. Studies show that women’s participation in the workforce contribute to the growth of a country’s economy \nThe Cameroon woman has for long been the economic backbone of the nation\, yet she remains largely marginalized in the society generally and in the economic sector in particular. The 2019 statistics from the UN Office of Coordination of Human Affairs (OCHA) in Cameroon shows that 39% of the national population lives below the poverty line and this rate rises to 51.5% for women with 79.2% of them are underemployed.  \nWomen are involved in so many income generating activities and various projects that helps to increase the country’s national wealth while creating jobs that enhances the advancement of women and the family (Nkafu DBI report\, 2020). Despite this recognized potential\, female entrepreneurs in Cameroon still faces enormous challenges (family constraints\, lack of education and training\, gender inequality\, difficulty to access finance\, fear of failure\, and timidity) that hinders them from achieving prosperity and economic freedom. The vast majority of Cameroon women\, regardless of educational level\, find themselves in a disadvantaged position in the economic sphere. Despite the clear economic and social gains\, numerous structural and cultural barriers impede women from entering\, remaining\, or advancing the business world. \nIt therefore against this framework that the Small Business Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) of the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation seeks to promote the economic freedom and prosperity of female entrepreneurs in Cameroon by addressing the challenges they face. \nObjective of the panel discussion  \nThe main objective of this panel discussion is to promote the economic freedom and prosperity of female entrepreneurs in Cameroon by address their challenges. \nSpecifically;  \nTo examine the contribution of women in entrepreneurship to wealth creation To provide in-depth analysis of the female entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cameroon. \nExamine the current challenges of female entrepreneurship in Cameroon.  \nCritically assess government measures put in place to promote female entrepreneurship in Cameroon. \nIdentify and propose possible measures to ameliorate the conditions of women in entrepreneurship in Cameroon.  \nTarget audience:  \nEntrepreneurs\nExperts in Public Policy and Policymakers \nEconomists and Researchers \nCivil Society Organisations and other interested stakeholders \nMembers of SBEC Network \nGeneral public  \nExpected outputs and outcomes \nAt the end of the panel discussion\, they participants will understand;  \nThe contribution of women in entrepreneurs in wealth creation \nThe female entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cameroon \nCurrent challenges faced by female entrepreneurs and government measures put in place to promote female entrepreneurship in Cameroon\nThe possible measures needed to ameliorate the conditions of women in entrepreneurship in Cameroon.  \nPanelists \nBertha Yenwo Yiberla – President of the African Women in Leadership Organization Cameroon Chapter (AWLO)\nYolande Boyomo – Founder and CEO of Djefyns Hope Secrets\nDr Alphonsine Florine Tchokote – Delegate of Yaounde Agropastoral Entrepreneurs GIC and Director of DOSIFLORE\nIsabelle Kpwang – CEO and Founder of DK Group and Managing Director of Les Délices d’Isabelle \nOrganizers \nThis panel discussion is organised by the Small Business Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) of the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation \nVenue and Date  \nThe panel discussion is scheduled for the 26th May 2021 at the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation Headquarters in Simbock\, Yaoundé-Cameroon from 9:00am to 13:00pm \nContact \nDenis and Lenora Foretia Foundation \nTel: (+237) 22 31 15 84 / 654 86 72 54/ 698 64 55 24 \ninfo@foretiafoundation.org\nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:The Economic Impact Of Covid-19 On Entrepreneurship In Cameroon
DESCRIPTION:Date: 21st May 2021  Time: 3pm – 4:00pm\nVenue: Online\, Zoom (Register Here) \nBackground  \nBased on the report published by the International Labour Organisation\, 8 out of 10 enterprises are informal. Almost 1.6 billion workers in the informal sector are significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic\, leading to a 60 per cent decline in their earnings. For these workers\, discontinuing work or working remotely is not an option because they could lose their jobs and livelihoods.\nIn Cameroon’s case\, the informal sector officially occupies 90% of the country’s active population and is productive as countries with a much higher economic level in Africa. According to an IMF report\, the informal sector in Cameroon contributes 20 to 30% to the country’s GDP. The COVID-19 pandemic has had far-reaching economic consequences beyond the spread of the disease itself\, and efforts to quarantine it has not been effective\, therefore\, provoking an unprecedented downturn in the global economy.\nFollowing the publication by le Groupement Inter-Patronal du Cameroun (GICAM) on the “Impact of the Covid-19 Crisis on Companies in Cameroon”\, May-June 2020\, the proportion of companies negatively impacted by the Covid-19 crisis increased from 92% to 96.6%. This estimate is obtained based on a sample of more than 250 companies consulted between May and June 2020\, 25% of which were big companies and 75% of SMEs.\nIt is against these economic challenges posed by the pandemic that the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) of the Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation is organising a webinar on the theme “The Economic Impact of COVID 19 on entrepreneurship in Cameroon “. This event is a platform for stakeholders to discuss how the pandemic has affected the entrepreneur ecosystem\, the opportunities available and possible recommendations to entrepreneurs in Cameroon.\nGeneral objectives\nThe main objective of this webinar is to enlighten stakeholders of the entrepreneur ecosystem on the economic impact that COVID-19 has had on entrepreneurship and seek for better adaptability strategies to meet up with their business needs and profitability.\nSpecific objectives\nThe specific objective is to: \nBring together experts to propose recommendations that would help entrepreneurs to better adapt to the revenging economic impact of the pandemic on their businesses;\nTo better prepare entrepreneurs on the occurrence of future economic threats. \nTarget audience: \nSBEC network members\nEntrepreneurs\nGeneral public \nPanelists\nRosette FIEN\nFounder & Managing Director at Kayvey Foods Sarl\nMme. SUMMARY:The Entrepreneurial Ecosystem And Strategies For The Growth Of SME’s In Cameroon
DESCRIPTION:The Entrepreneurial Ecosystem And Strategies For The Growth Of SME’s In Cameroon \nDate: 11th December 2020 – Time: 8:00am to 2:00pm\nVenue: Foretia Foundation\nBACKGROUND\nIn Cameroon\, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are regarded as vectors for job and wealth creation. According to statistics from the Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises\, Social Economy\, and Handicrafts\, there are more than 400\,000 active companies in the informal sector. Ninety-nine percent (99%) of these companies are SMEs\, whose active presence helps generate growth and redistribute wealth in society. The important role played by SMEs in reducing poverty in Cameroon is gaining recognition. SMEs contribute around 36% of Cameroon’s GDP\, make-up over 90% of businesses in Cameroon\, and employ above 60% of the population. That notwithstanding\, evident realities indicate that enormous potentials inherent in this sector are unfortunately not fully harnessed – especially given that more than 70% of SMEs still operate informally.\nHowever\, according to the General Business Census 2016 (RGE-2)\, the incubation and capacity building process of existing and potential entrepreneurs requires an enabling environment as SMEs still face significant challenges in terms of obtaining finance\, lack of appropriate managerial skills\, non-compliance with the Tax regulations\, complicated legal environment\, poor networking and lack of dedicated agencies to assist existing and potential entrepreneurs.  The incubation process\, growth\, and sustainability of most entrepreneurs in Cameroon can be greatly improved through private training and networking especially in business management and entrepreneurship skills.\nIt is based on the above-interwoven problems that the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) of the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation\, organizes the 2020 National Forum on the theme “The Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and Strategies for the growth of SMEs in Cameroon” so as to discuss strategies which entrepreneurs can put in place to achieve sustainable growth in Cameroon.\nGENERAL OBJECTIVE \nThe main objective of this forum is to discuss the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in Cameroon and seek possible solutions to these problems in other to achieve a favorable entrepreneurial ecosystem. \n SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES\nThe specific objectives are to: \nFind ways of attracting Investors and customers;\nFacilitate access to finance and business registration;\nIdentify networking opportunities for SMEs at national and international level;\nProvide an opportunity for SMEs to exhibit their products and services;\nIdentify challenges faced by SMEs in Cameroon and share best practices;\nDevelop the SBEC network. \nTARGET AUDIENCE \nSBEC Network members\nOther dynamic entrepreneurs from the SBEC database \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:L’écosystème Entrepreneurial Et Les Stratégies Pour La Croissance Des PME Au Cameroun
\nINSCRIVEZ-VOUS-ICI

SUMMARY:THE EFFECTS OF INFORMATION ASYMMETRY ON BUSINESS GROWTH IN CAMEROON
DESCRIPTION:27th November\, 2020Online\, Zoom\n3pm to 4:00pm\nBackground\nSmall businesses dominate most economies in the world\, and in the Cameroon context account for 90 % of all firms\, drive employment above 60% and equally serve as machinery for generating both local and foreign revenue. SMEs form the basis for national development and economic growth. Despite the role played by SME’s\, they still face enormous challenges in the areas of  access to finance and management but inadequate information asymmetry is one of the most crucial problem faced by SME’Ss and is considered by economists as a major source of market failures.\, Based on the report published by the Nkafu Policy Institute on “Developing a Conducive Environment for Small and Medium sized Enterprises Growth in Cameroon” (February 25\, 2019)\, SMEs have a poor relationship with the agencies and institutions established by Government to support and promote their growth. Most SMEs are not even aware that such institutions exist to encourage them.\nIt is against this backdrop that the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) of the Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation is organizing a webinar on the theme “The Effects of Information Asymmetry on Business Growth in Cameroon” so as to accompany entrepreneurs in accessing adequate and vital information necessary for the growth and development of their businesses.\nGeneral objectives\nThe main objective of this webinar is to enlighten entrepreneurs on how to access accurate information on Business registration modalities\, Tax regulations\, Governmental Support\, and other pertinent information necessary for business growth and sustainability.\nSpecific objectives\nThe specific objective is to: \nSolve the problem of information asymmetry by bringing officials from the government and private sectors to share current information and opportunities available for the growth of SME’s in Cameroon. \nTarget audience: \nSBEC network members\nEntrepreneurs\nGeneral public \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:LES EFFETS DE L’ASYMETRIE DE L’INFORMATION SUR LA CROISSANCE ENTREPRENEURIALE AU CAMEROUN

SUMMARY:Practical Guide To Bookkeeping
DESCRIPTION:Date; 29th July 2020Venue: Online\n \nBackground:\nSmall businesses dominate most economies in the world. According to the report published by the Nkafu Policy Institute on the State of Small Businesses in Cameroon (June 2019)\, Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) contribute around 36% of Cameroon’s GDP\, make-up over 90% of businesses in Cameroon\, and employ above 60% of the population.\nUnfortunately\, most of these firms do not always make appropriate use of bookkeeping which is often described as “the language of business” and this results to inventory shortages\, unreported or under reported expenses such as rental income\, difficulties to maintain banking records\, shortage of stock\, loss of valuable tax deductions\, poor filling system and poor business decisions thus have a negative impact on the development and sustainability of SMEs.\nBook keeping involves analyzing and using financial information in a systematic manner to understand and evaluate the financial position of an organization\, or a business. The availability of accurate accounting information benefits businesses by easing their activities in terms of planning\, organizing\, leading and controlling. Hence\, it is recognized that\, appropriate bookkeeping and financial statements are important for a successful management of a business be it large or small without which it may lead to failure.\nIt is against this backdrop that the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) of the Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation is organizing a workshop on the theme “A Practical Guide for Bookkeeping” so as to enable members of the SBEC network to keep complete and accurate business records\, which are essential for decision making and growth.\nGeneral objectives\nThe main objective of this training is to provide members of the SBEC network with the skills and knowledge necessary   to carry out effective bookkeeping in their businesses.\nSpecific objectives\nThe specific objectives are to train entrepreneurs on how to record business transactions on \nSales book\nCash book\nPurchase book\nDebtors book\nSuppliers book\nInventory book\nExpense book\nDifferent filling systems \nTarget audience:\nThis event is opened to SBEC Network members only\nClick here to join the SBEC Network

SUMMARY:Le Business Plan: Un Outil Ultime Pour Nourrir Les Ambitions Et La Croissance Entrepreneuriale

SUMMARY:2020 Regional SBEC Forum Yaoundé
DESCRIPTION:Theme: ‘Business Networking\, a valuable tool for entrepreneurial growth in Cameroon’’.   \nOrganized in partnership with the Canadian Fund for the Local Initiatives Project in Cameroon.\nCONCEPT NOTE\nBackground:\nThe literature on entrepreneurial and small business networking has substantially increased in volume during the last years. The interest has been driven both from the entrepreneurial side\, where businesses inter-link rapidly and form network configurations and from the policy side\, where governments have implemented a variety of policies to encourage economic growth through self-employment and to support small businesses.\n      The active positioning of entrepreneurial firms in the business arena coincides with building effective business relationships with customers and suppliers\,  government bodies and large corporations\, or with professional bodies and lead clients. This makes small firms embedded in an intricate set of business relationships\, connecting local\, national and international partners\, government agencies\, financial institutions\, or consumers and professional associations\n     Entrepreneurial networks can be defined as organized systems of relationships with customers\, suppliers\, and other entrepreneurs\, with relatives\, external consultants and other agents\, or potential partners with the objective of increasing the effectiveness of each person’s business\, and add value to their products and services . Entrepreneurial and small business networks usually represent dispersed and varied networks with uncertain boundaries and resource-based or role-based division of labor.\n    They are comprised of autonomous agents that are linked to each other via various formal and informal contracts\, who design collective strategies and share information. SUMMARY:2020 Regional SBEC Forum – Douala
DESCRIPTION:2020 REGIONAL BUSINESS-NETWORKING EVENT (Regional Forum) Theme: ‘The Pivotal Role of Business Networking to Entrepreneurs in Cameroon’’. \nOrganized in partnership with the Canadian Fund for the Local Initiative Project in Cameroon.\n Concept Note\nThe literature on entrepreneurial and small business networking has substantially increased in volume during the last years. The interest has been driven both from the entrepreneurial side\, where businesses inter-link rapidly and form network configurations and from the policy side\, where governments have implemented a variety of policies to encourage economic growth through self-employment and to support small businesses. The active positioning of entrepreneurial firms in the business arena coincides with building effective business relationships with customers and suppliers\,  government bodies and large corporations\, or with professional bodies and lead clients. This makes small firms embedded in an intricate set of business relationships\, connecting local\, national and international partners\, government agencies\, financial institutions\, or consumer and professional associations. Entrepreneurial networks can be defined as organized systems of relationships with customers\, suppliers\, and other entrepreneurs\, with relatives\, external consultants and other agents\, or potential partners. Entrepreneurial and small business networks usually represent dispersed and varied networks with uncertain boundaries and resource-based or role-based division of labor. They are comprised of autonomous agents that are linked to each other via various formal and informal contracts\, who design collective strategies and share information. In addition\, create partnerships with government agencies\, banks\, and Micro-finance Institutions to access finance.  The network is governed by the allocation of specific roles to individual members\, which are inscribed in contractual relationships. The division of labor in the network stems from the specialization and unique capabilities of individual firms\, and embody resource-based input-output dependencies that emerge with the evolution of the network.\n \nGeneral objectives\nThe main objective of this Event (Regional Forum) is to provide opportunities to entrepreneurs  to network with Government Agencies\, Banks and Micro-finance Institutions\, Consultants\, Companies \, and other Entrepreneurs.\nThe purpose of this paper is to explore how cohesive/diverse networks affect entrepreneurial activities. SUMMARY:2019 Small Business & Entrepreneurship Forum
DESCRIPTION:CONCEPT NOTES – SBEC 2019 Forum on the Theme :\n“HARMONIZATION OF THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP ECOSYSTEM IN CAMEROON FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH”.   \nBACKGROUND:\n In the Cameroon economy\, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are regarded as vectors for job and wealth creation. According to statistics from the Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises\, Social Economy and Handicrafts\, there are more than 400\,000 companies in the informal sector and out of these\, 99% are SMEs. This dynamic presence helps generate growth and redistribute wealth in society. Their important role in reducing poverty in Cameroon is also gaining recognition. Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) contribute around 36% of Cameroon’s GDP\, make-up over 90% of businesses in Cameroon\, and employ above 60% of the population. Notwithstanding\, evident realities indicate that enormous potentials inherent in this sector are unfortunately not fully harnessed – especially given that more than 70% of SMEs still operate informally.\n    However\, the incubation and capacity building process of existing and potential entrepreneurs requires an enabling environment that provides sufficient quantities and qualities of physical\, financial\, human\, information and relationship resources. The business environment in Cameroon is good but the lack of resource harmonization in the Cameroon Entrepreneurship sphere is considered to be among the main causes of short-run business failure and poor competitive capacity. SMEs in Cameroon face significant challenges in terms of Managerial skills\, lack of capital\, networking and lack of dedicated agencies to assist the existing and potential entrepreneurs. The Agency and Bank for the Promotion SMEs in Cameroon are yet to produce the expected results. The incubation process\,   growth\, and sustainability of most entrepreneurs in Cameroon can be greatly improved through  networking especially in business management and entrepreneurship skills. The first complain of every entrepreneur in Cameroon center around lack of capital while the rest of the component needs follow.\n  Taxation is not a hindrance to Entrepreneurship development in Cameroon per say. Taxes are paid when value chains are created\, No business no taxation.  Notwithstanding\, the knowledge of taxation and registration of business cannot be underrated. Cameroon is an environment that has plenty of resources but is deficient in terms of organization\, resource access\, and stakeholder behavior constitutes an additional challenge for entrepreneurs in Cameroon. In most cases\, they lack access to information despite the existence of the internet and relevant media plat forms.  Moreover\, Cameroon has enormous Human Resources\, Capital\, big market outlets\, the death rates of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises remain high in Cameroon. It ranges range from two to five years span.\n  It is because of the above interwoven problems that the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) of the Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation\,  organizes  the 2019 Forum on the  harmonization of Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Cameroon for a sustainable growth  within the framework of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiative project in Cameroon\, and has as objectives the following:\nGENERAL OBJECTIVES \nTo hold a forum on how to nurture growth and sustainability of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Cameroon. \nSPECIFIC OBJECTIVES \nOpen panel discussions on the sustainability and growth of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Cameroon.\nBig Opportunity for SMEs to Network with national and international stakeholders.\nGive SMEs the opportunity to exhibit their products and services during and after the Forum\, and gain new market outlets for their products and services\nDiscuss the challenges faced by SMEs in Cameroon and share best practices to overcome them.\nIdentify the various promoters of SMEs in Cameroon and the various products and services they offer.\nNetwork with Financial Institutions and other funding bodies to finance SMEs of the SBEC network.\nInvite 150 participants of Small Businesses\, and other stakeholders to build a powerful network of entrepreneurs in Cameroon. \n \nTOPICS OF PANEL DISCUSSION \nTransformation of Agricultural Produce\, a strategic value chain to Agripreneurs;\nMarketing and branding for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises/Attracting Customers and Investments;\nAccess to funding and finances;\nThe path to Sustainable growth for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in Cameroon. \n \nWHO WILL PARTICIPATE? \nSmall and medium size enterprises;\nBanks & Microfinance Institutions;\nFarmers & Farming cooperatives\nprospective Entrepreneurs;\nBusiness Associations. \nParticipant + Exhibition: 2000 FCFA    /     Simple Participant: 1000 FCFA\n /  Speaker: Free\nBe a Speaker \n SPEAKERS \n REGISTRATION FOR SPEAKERS\n × \n Close \nParticipation + Exhibition \n EXHIBITION \n REGISTRATION FOR EXHIBITION\n ×\nRegistration Fee: 2000 fcfa – (Participation + Exhibition)\nThis fee is paid only through mobile money – SBEC Official Number: +237 672 31 43 10.\nPlease make sure you call after your paiement to confirm.
