In the pandemic response\, countries in the Global North have circumvented multilateral frameworks\, injected liquidity into their economies\, and stockpiled vaccines. Meanwhile\, countries in the Global South had no access to these multilateral platforms and many have been unable to purchase COVID 19 vaccines directly from manufacturers. As a result\, North-South inequality has widened further since the pandemic.\nPandemic policy responses have been designed and anchored mainly in the Global North.  Only tangentially were they extended to the Global South\, frequently without consideration for the national or regional context. It is time to re-calibrate this power dynamic and  Global South think tanks can play a role in this. Using context-specific knowledge they can spearhead pragmatic policies geared towards an equitable post-COVID recovery for all.\nIn this session\, we will explore ways through which cooperative actions by Global South think tanks could translate into decolonized or glocalized policies and concrete action.
